Six-week courses
Dog training classes in Sterling
Group classes from puppy kindergarten to advanced, plus nose work, breed handling and rally, taught in an air-conditioned training building on Clinton Road.
The training building and the people in it
Classes are held in their own air-conditioned training building at the kennel, most evenings of the week. The program runs from puppy kindergarten up to advanced work, in group classes and in private lessons.
Janet has been a professional dog trainer since 1997, in obedience, rally and agility. She was among the first to take the first APDT certification exam and holds the CPDT title.
Diane King has more than 25 years in dog training. She is a longtime APDT member with the CPDT-KA, and she teaches clicker and positive training and puppy training. She also works with special needs such as aggression, resource guarding and reactivity, and she has worked as a vet assistant at a holistic animal clinic.

How the six-week courses work
A course runs six weeks and costs $190, paid in advance. Pre-registration is required, and class sizes are limited.
Some sessions on the board are drop-ins rather than courses. Breed handling and the rally run-thru are listed that way, and the rally run-thru asks you to call or text by Thursday.
If a group class is not the right fit, private lessons are available. Call for availability and price.
A dog chiropractor, once a month
On the first Wednesday of every month at 6:15 PM a dog chiropractor comes to Champion Kennels. It is a new addition, and the details are handled by phone.
Call the office for information. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Courses are six weeks at $190, paid in advance, and need pre-registration. Class sizes are limited, so call the office before you plan around a start date.
