Indoor and outdoor runs
Dog boarding in Sterling, with a private indoor and outdoor run for every dog
A private indoor and outdoor run with heated floors and a door to the outside day and night, two meals from home and staff on site around the clock.
What a run is here
Every dog gets a private room with an indoor half and an outdoor half. The floors are heated, and fans keep the air moving in summer, so your dog can walk outside day or night. There is no air conditioning, just those fans and a way out to the open air. Fresh water is always down.
Play happens in double-fenced enclosures, so a dog slipping a leash or a latch still has a second fence to meet. Staff are on the property 24 hours a day, which means somebody is there for the 2 AM bark as well as the 2 PM walk.
Rates are per night: one dog $60, two dogs $110 (in separate runs or together), three dogs $150 (in one or two runs) and four dogs $180 (in two, three or four runs). Payment is cash or check at drop-off, and there is an ATM on site.

The day, meal to meal
Meals come from home, two a day, pre-bagged: one bag per meal, with your dog's name on it. If you would rather not pack food, the kennel feeds NutriSource lamb and rice kibble. Ask the office for the price when you book.
Between meals there is a mid-day snack and a bedtime snack. Call the office about how unbagged food is handled, because the current policy is easier to get from a person than from a web page.
Priority care, special needs and medication
Priority care moves your dog to the front of the building for extra attention. It costs $80 a day for one dog and $120 a day for two, and it includes one playtime daily or three walks.
Dogs with special needs are welcome. Special-needs care adds $5 to $10 a day. If your dog takes medication, tell the office when you book and ask for the current charge.
Vaccines and the 10-day wait
Boarding dogs need a DHLPP booster, rabies and kennel cough. The kennel cough vaccine needs a 10-day wait after the shot and is good for one year. Titers are accepted. No pet is admitted on the day it receives a vaccination, so get shots done well before drop-off, and bring current records.
If your dog has been in a multi-dog setting, such as doggie daycare, a dog show or performance event, a dog park, another grooming salon, a store that allows pets or a vet office, the kennel asks for 10 days before boarding. It keeps every run on the property healthy.
